I’ve been posting some of my old Tolkien themed watercolor illustrations in my instagram lately so why not here as well, for old times sake. Lil hobbitses heading to adventure! Forests! Ents! The gaiety of the elvish feast!

I got a bit behind on commissions this week, being sort of distracted by starting college and such, but I should be back on track? Apologies to everyone who has been waiting!
Here we have Tyelpe working on some… Ring Theory, is the idea? Whimsical spectral theory? Fun metaphysical elf math? commissioned by @thearrogantemu, who happens to be responsible for creating some of my very favorite Celebrimbor content. Thank you so much!
I like this a lot. It’s so nice to see Celebrimbor getting on with some work and enjoying himself, not in armour, in battle or having awful things happen to him!

I’m back from vacation now, and I passed my exams (barely; I really need to get better and stop procrastinating all the time), so I’ll probably be spending more time on this blog again.
I’m not very happy right now though, because while we were gone the friend of my mom’s who was looking after the apartment somehow managed to kill all my fish by overfeeding them (even though I explained how much food they needed). Or at least that’s what the aquarium looked like, I didn’t actually ask. It looked so awful when we came back yesterday evening and I couldn’t stop imagining their horrible painful deaths. I just started crying and I’m so grateful mom cleaned the aquarium for me because I’m not sure I could’ve done that yesterday. And I’m not that upset today anymore, but then I suddenly remember something that involved those fish… and also one of the catfish had grown too big and I’d been thinking about giving it away to someone with more space but I didn’t get around it before the vacation and now I really wish i had…
Okay that was a lot more babbling about my poor dead fish then any of you likely care about, but this has really upset me, especially because it was so unexpected and because of a mistake that could’ve been avoided. Yesterday I was also blaming myself and doing over-dramatic thngs like saying that I’d never get any new fish ever again (not that I’m in any hurry to do that now… maybe in like 10 years).

Anyone who would give up a little usability for a little aesthetic would deserve neither, and lose both. – Ben Franklin, probably.
