Ok so I’m totally clueless about fixing cars and need someone to do everything for me. Now, I’m going to assume that this is some kind of Modern AU!situation because if not, the car is not getting fixed at all. (Even Feanorians probably wouldn’t be that good at fixing a car if it’s the first time they’re seeing one and still trying to make sure it isn’t a creation of Morgoth.)
1) Curufin, because he’s supposed to be the best at technology and mechanics. I will be fine as long as I don’t talk about anything controversial like Silmarils or Kinslayings or Oaths or Noldor politics or parent-child disagreements… (I hope).
2)
Maglor, the least likely to be a jerk for no reason. Sadly, I have no idea
how useful he’d be, but at
least I’ll have some quality music to listen to. His chances of
convincing other people to help us are probably better than the others’,
too.
3) Maedhros. I don’t know how good he is at fixing things with just one hand or a prosthetic, but I could help too as long as I knew what to do. On the other hand, I’m awful at “teamwork” when it involves someone else telling me what to do all the time, so Maedhros should just get some other people to help us (with his charismatic, commanding, confident presence). Or maybe Fingon is there too and they can just figure out how to fix the car together while I stay inside, away from the rain.
4) Caranthir probably has enough money to pay someone else to fix it. If not, we’re going to have a problem because of his temper. Especially because I’m not exactly going to be calm and patient in this situation either.
5) Celegorm. If we’re in the woods (my imagination says cars always break down in woods for some reason), we won’t starve because he will hunt something! And one of us can try to fix the car but I’m worried that if it gets broken worse instead, he’d blame me no matter who did it.
(If they are fresh from the First Age and therefore used to equine transportation, I’m picking 1) Maglor, 2) Maedhros, ¾/5) the Cs. The order of who’s least likely to murder me, or get so annoyed they kick me out of the car or something.)
