12 & 14 for the Silmarillion meme?
12. Doriath or Nargothrond?
Nargothrond. It’s not an easy decision, because Doriath is like a mythological fairy-realm full of magic and wonder and I really like that kind of thing.
But I like Finrod better than Thingol as a person. I also like that if I suddenly ended up in Arda like a self-insert protagonist of an old fanfic Nargothrond would definitely be the more convenient place to end up in.
14. What’s your favourite Maia?
Uinen, because she’s one of the most powerful Maiar who even had her own cult in Numenor. And I assume that just like Ulmo, she genuinely cares about Elves and Men, judging from the fact that she is the one who calms Osse down.
I also like how the Valar forbid Osse to do anything about the Noldor after they stole the ships and then Uinen drowned (some of) them – the implication being that no one gave her any orders regarding that, because “oh, it’s Uinen, she doesn’t ever drown people, anyway”. And then she did, with a perfect “I was just so upset abot the poor Teleri” innocent face.
Arien is my favourite Maia to draw, though.
And, uh, I have to admit that recently, the Maia I’ve thought about the most is Annatar Sauron. “thought about” as part of reading fanfic and seeing fanart, I mean, not just randomly in my free time.

Traditional Chinese Hanfu – Type: Quju/曲裾(curved-hem robe).
The battle between Fingolfin, High King of the Noldor in Beleriand, and Morgoth, the Dark Foe of the World, from J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Silmarillion.
“For the rocks rang with the shrill music of Fingolfin’s horn, and his voice came keen and clear down into the depths of Angband; and Fingolfin named Morgoth craven, and lord of slaves. Therefore Morgoth came, climbing slowly from his subterranean throne, and the rumour of his feet was like thunder underground. And he issued forth clad in black armour; and he stood before the King like a tower, iron-crowned, and his vast shield, sable unblazoned, cast a shadow over him like a stormcloud. But Fingolfin gleamed beneath it as a star; for his mail was overlaid with silver, and his blue shield was set with crytals; and he drew his sword Ringil, that glittered ice.” – J.R.R. Tolkien, The Silmarillion
