This lion’s name is Bonedigger and he was born with a crippling bone disease, so the keepers introduced three dachshunds to give him companionship; Abby, Bullet and Milo.
They’re his pride now!
This is the only fucking thing I care about, do you hear me.
@actualmermaid made a comment on my young Thuringwethil from the other day about her being a fruit bat, and I was like………. you’re RIGHT and that’s GOOD
And then I, a fool, forgot to draw her eating actual fruit, which is a shame because bats eating mangos is my Favorite Thing. So, maybe stay tuned for that?
I almost wish I could only draw pirates from now on, all of them with an eye patch so I don’t have to worry about eye symmetry.
Today we’re brunching on some of the most intricate and beautiful fruit pies we’ve ever seen. Seattle-based home baker Lauren Ko arranges long, thin strips of dough, finely sliced fruits, and nuts into complex lattices and other elaborate designs.
“I’m driven by color and pattern, so I’m constantly brainstorming color combinations and geometric patterns that I think I can replicate with pie dough [and] fruit,” she explains. “What I create during a particular baking session is also often informed by produce that is in season and what’s currently in my fridge. My final products are generally happy accidents.”

Do you design a lot of characters living in not-modern eras and you’re tired of combing through google for the perfect outfit references? Well I got good news for you kiddo, this website has you covered! Originally @modmad made a post about it, but her link stopped working and I managed to fix it, so here’s a new post. Basically, this is a costume rental website for plays and stage shows and what not, they have outfits for several different decades from medieval to the 1980s. LOOK AT THIS SELECTION:
OPEN ANY CATEGORY AND OH LORDY–
There’s a lot of really specific stuff in here, I design a lot of 1930s characters for my ask blog and with more chapters on the way for the game it belongs to I’m gonna be designing more, and this website is going to be an invaluable reference. I hope this can be useful to my other fellow artists as well! 🙂
Yes, I do celebrate Christmas. Both on the 24th and the russian-orthodox version, which is on 6-7th January. Sadly I can’t really celebrate the latter because by then the holidays are over, but it’s usually a family meal. Presents used to be given on 31st for New Year’s Eve, but now we usually do that on Christmas (24th) like everyone else here.
this is hella wild but get ready for tr*mp to all of the sudden hate the olympics
This ban is utter trash. Not only does it punish the dopers, which I’m 100% fine with, but it also punishes proven clean athletes.
Consider for example Evgenia Medvedeva, 18-year-old 2-time world figure skating champion and pretty much a cert for Olympic gold. She was 14 at Sochi 2014 and wasn’t even in the national team at the time, so none of the issue could have been to do with her in the first place. Not to mention that the list of all figure skaters, in all four disciplines of Olympic skating, contains only four athletes who have EVER been even SUSPECTED of doping. It’s a non-issue in the skating world, so why punish skaters (and other athletes in low doping-level sports) by refusing to let them compete for the country that raised and nurtured them? It’s not necessary. So that raises the question, why go ahead with the full ban?
Politics! Which would never. Mix. With. Sports. The IOC figured that being ‘tough on doping’ would probably make them look good, and what better way to be ‘tough’ than to bar an entire – may I mention, very unpopular – country from competing. Even though we all know that the IOC is more corrupt than North Korea and probably doesn’t care about drugs as long as they’re being bribed to ignore them.
The political targeting of Russia is ridiculous and things have been leading up to this for years. And it pisses me off how Americans and others on this site gleefully accept this as a joke because they’ve been fed the “Russia behind Trump” narrative for the past year. It’s ridiculous how little humanity is learning from its mistakes, and it disgusts me how ready people are to accept antagonism where there’s no need for it.
